There's not four of us officially quite yet, but Baby Girl Huitink is on her way and could be here any day! So before are lives are turned even more upside down (for the better), let's just start with what's been happening in our lives over the past few weeks.
In the words of Dan, who rarely posts to Facebook, here is an update as of August 11:
A rehash of the last 15 days...
-Thomas turned 2
-We decided to move back to Iowa
-I accepted a job to work as the Corporate Counsel for Vermeer Corporation in Pella
-I wrapped up my time at Snell & Wilmer
-We prepared our house to go on the market
-We put our house on the market
-We traveled to Pella to look at homes
-We bought a home in Pella
-We sold our home in Arizona
-We prepared our place for the move
-We said goodbye to friends and family
-I drove 1600 miles with Bernie
-Tman and Jenna flew
-We moved into a hotel in Pella
Coming up the next two weeks...
-Our 8th anniversary
-We introduce Thomas to a new town
-I start a new job
-We move into our new home
And sprinkle on top that our baby girl is coming on or before September 7!
And I couldn't agree with Dan any more, and we are so thankful we could be on this adventure together. With all this happening so quickly and relatively so smoothly, we are completely confident that we had nothing to do with writing this story of our lives. We are incredibly grateful for God's provisions He has provided every step of the way.
